I grew up near Berkeley, California and was lucky enough to meet people from all backgrounds and engage in new experiences frequently.
Because of this, I love meeting new people and socializing whenever I can. I was very active as a kid and always involved in sports and learned quickly that hard work is how you get to where you want to be. I decided at a young age that I wanted to work in medicine and followed that dream until I was in my senior year at University of California, Davis. While in college, I worked for a motorcycle company where I got my first taste of marketing. As a result, right before I was getting ready to graduate, I decided to pursue Design and never looked back.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned?
Growing up, I learned that you will never be as young as you are now so you should never say “no” to a new experience and do everything you can to make it happen. This lesson has determined how I live my life. When I want something, I make it happen.
What do you do to recharge your batteries outside of the office?
When I am not working, I am usually hanging out with my friends, playing with my dog, and exploring new places in the Pacific Northwest. I love to travel and have a goal to visit a new state or country every year.
Where was your favorite place you have ever traveled?
So far, my favorite trip was to the United Kingdom with my older sister, Anna. Both the country and the company was amazing. It was the perfect trip as I stayed in the heart of the city where I got to enjoy the history of the country and many excellent restaurants and pubs.
