Laura Houghton

Transaction Director
503.210.4076

A native to the Pacific Northwest, I graduated from Oregon State University in 2009 and Willamette University College of Law in 2013.

My interest in real estate was always a hobby, but after graduation, I began to look for a career where I could combine that interest with my legal training.

When I’m not at the office, I enjoy long distance running, cycling, golfing and exploring the outdoors with my two dogs. I feel lucky to live in such a gorgeous state, and try to take advantage of it as often as possible.

What’s the best thing about working at Capital Pacific?

The people are easily the best thing about Capital Pacific. Having a group of people that I truly care about, have fun with, and that push me to do better, drives me to perform my best, every day.

What’s your secret to a successful transaction?

I like to think of a transaction as a marathon. As a Transaction Director, I act as a “pacer” for our clients, beginning at the signing of the listing agreement, to the close of escrow and over the finish line, next to them each step of the way. I am always one step ahead of the transaction, anticipating what needs to happen next so that the deal can progress smoothly.

What do you do to recharge your batteries outside of the office?

When I’m not at the office, I enjoy long distance running, cycling, golfing and exploring the outdoors with my two dogs. I feel lucky to live in such a gorgeous state, and try to take advantage of it as often as possible.
